To answer a question on my last post, I got my tickets on Saturday. They came complete with a full agenda, travel insurance information, and a fortune cookie. Today I went to Travelex and traded some American dollars for Japanese Yen. Now all I need to do is pack and try to stop worrying.

Anticipation
Just a little over a week left before we leave and I can really feel the anxious anticipation building. I get my tickets on Saturday and it will be up to me to force my nervousness aside so I don't lose anything between now and take off. I should probably start packing, too. We'll see how far that initiative goes (I tend to put off packing until a day or so before a big trip because I'm in denial that I'm actually leaving).
Now it's time to study for finals and not stress myself out too much between the trip and exams. I'm still not sure how often I'll actually be able to update this during the trip but I will at least try to keep a log so I can give you updates about what's going on after the fact.

Camcorder
I plan/hope to film most of my trip abroad. To facilitate that goal, I went out and bought my first ever camcorder today. Here's a YouTube video testing it out. It's just a quickie tour of my tiny bedroom (i.e. my world for the past couple of decades or so). Enjoy!

Tick ... tock ...
I have my passport back with my Chinese visa. I leave officially a month from yesterday. I really need to get my stuff together and think about buying another business suit. Anyone wanna give some money to support a poor college student's quest to dress professionally? All I have is loan money with high interest rates to replace my denim wardrobe (For those of you who might be unaware, blue jeans are not appropriate attire for business meetings; unfortunately, that's all I own!).
